What to do in Baie-Saint-Paul when it rains

Visiting the charming town of Baie-Saint-Paul in the rain is quite possible. Here's a one-day itinerary we've put together to bring a little sunshine into your day.
Relaxation at the spa
To start the day off on the right foot, a moment of relaxation is in order at one of the spas available in the Baie-Saint-Paul area. A stop at the Centre de bain thermal et Centre Santé Le Marion is a must. The center features hot pools, a cold waterfall and a sauna. Massages and facials are also available. The Spa Nordique Le Germain offers a Finnish sauna, eucalyptus steam bath and snow fountain. Massages and beauty treatments are also available.
As you drive along boulevard Monseigneur-De Laval, you'll pass the Moulin de la Rémy. This mill, renowned for its flour production, was built in 1825 and is open to the public. You can visit the mill and learn more about its production and the region's heritage. The organic flours produced on site are available for sale, making this a great souvenir to take home.
Just a few yards away is Charlevoix's Famille Migneron, renowned for its artisanal cheeses made from cow's and sheep's milk. On-site, a free cheese tasting is offered every day, as well as the opportunity to discover their wines and spirits. What's more, the Laiterie de Charlevoix is also a must-see destination for lovers of fine cheeses. As an economuseum, it offers the opportunity to discover the different stages of cheese-making, making it an ideal visit for the curious.
For fans of board games, a playful afternoon is a must. It's a rendezvous at Maison Mère Baie-Saint-Paul, a former convent now transformed into a place of creation and innovation. Inside, the Mousse Café, a solidarity cooperative, will entertain young and old alike. Visitors can enjoy a delicious grilled cheese, followed by a homemade cupcake, while having fun with a selection of board games.
Savour local produce
To round off the day, dine in one of Baie-Saint-Paul's many restaurants. You can savor local products at Bistro Mouton Noir, enjoy a fine wine with small plates to share at Buvette Gentille, or feast on beer-marinated smoked meat smoked on site at Le Saint-Pub. For a gourmet experience, a seven-course meal featuring Charlevoix products awaits you at Le Faux Bergers.
