The day begins with a good breakfast. Café Chez Nous offers a full breakfast and a variety of coffees, perfect for a smooth start to the day. Classic breakfasts and brunches (available on Sundays) are also available at Chez Truchon. Enjoy a 1608 ham and cheese omelette with potatoes, fresh fruit, homemade jam, toast on wholemeal bread or toasted baguette, topped with a comforting cup of coffee.
Once the day is well underway, it's time to learn more about the cataclysmic event that forged the Charlevoix territory by visiting the Observatoire de l'Astroblème de Charlevoix. For lunchtime, Confit Épicerie-Buvette is the place to go for a gourmet break. Here, you can enjoy excellent starters, sandwiches and salads, accompanied by an excellent specialty coffee.
Next, what better way to spend a rainy day than visiting a museum? The Musée de Charlevoix, located in Pointe-au-Pic, has four halls featuring both permanent exhibitions, such as 'Charlevoix raconté', and temporary folk art exhibits, as well as activities of all kinds to entertain young and old alike.
The day ends at La Maison du Bootlegger, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy. Here you can enjoy meats cooked on the maple charcoal pit, sprinkled with the famous Bootlegger spices. It's even possible to take a guided tour of the mansion: you'll discover a camouflaged bar that supplied the house from the outside wall, a private lounge, bedrooms and even Elvis Presley's authentic signature!
